Sujatha Mohan

The fourth most prolific singer in the Malayalam music industry, Sujatha Mohan is one of the great music makers in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi music industry. She has sung over 10,000 sings in her musical career.

Sujatha Mohan was into music from very young age. She use to sing and perform along the great Yesudas around the globe. Sujatha recorded her very first sing when she was in 6th Grade. Sujatha Mohan has been one of the primal singer of the South Indian music industry and has been in the industry for more than 40 years. In the 1980’s and early 1990’s Sujatha use to make songs and sing along A.R Rehman. Her first released song in Tamil was “Kalai Paniyil” from the Tamil film Gayathri (1978), starring Sridevi and Rajinikanth with music by great Ilaiyaraja. Sujatha Mohan has won various Asianet Film Awards, Kerala State Films Awards, Tamil Nadu FIl Awards, etc. Sujatha’s one of the finest Hindi song is from the movie Hulchul and the song is Rafta Rafta Haule Haule. She is the only female playback singer who has performed more than 5000 live shows all over the world.
