About Prosenjit Chatterjee

Prosenjit Chatterjee is an Indian film actor and producer who basically works in Bengali and Hindi cinema. He began acting as a child actor with Hrishikesh Mukherjee in ‘Chotto Jigyasa’ and for which he won the Bengal Film Journalists’ Association – Most Outstanding Work of the Year Award also. Later he appeared in other films too as a child actor. His first leading role was with Bimal Roy’s ‘Duti Pata’. His first Bollywood movie was Aandhiyan (1990) which was directed by David Dawan. He was the part of Aishwarya Rai Bengali Debut movie ‘Chokher Bali’ which got critical and commercial success. In 2006, he earned Best Actor Award and National Film Award – Special Jury Award for his performance in the movie ‘Dosar’. He made his comeback to Bollywood through movies like Shanghai and Traffic.
