Poonam Pandey is an Indian actress, film actress known for her works in Bollywood and Telugu cinema. She played the female lead of the film Nasha, playing a teacher who ends up having a sexual relationship with one of her students. The posters for the film, which featured her was torn by the angered people and a group of protestors tore the posters and set them on fire on 20 July 2013 in Mumbai. The general secretary of Shiv Sena Chitrapat objected to Pandey’s skin showing in the advertisements, saying, "We find the poster highly vulgar and derogatory and won’t allow such hoardings.".
