Neeraj Chopra is an Indian javelin thrower.He gained international recognition for his exceptional javelin throwing skills and is considered one of India’s most promising track and field athletes.He won a historic gold medal in the men’s javelin throw event at the Tokyo Olympics held in 2021. His winning throw of 87.58 meters not only secured his victory but also marked India’s first-ever Olympic gold medal in track and field.In 2016, Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal at the IAAF World U20 Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, with a throw of 86.48 meters.He holds the Indian national record for javelin throw.He has received numerous awards and honors for his outstanding achievements in the field of sports.
