Mohammad Azharuddin

Mohammad Azharuddin is a former Indian cricketer, He was the renowned Captain of India’s cricket team for around 47 tests and 174 one day matches. He was banned by the BCCI for playing because of the match-fixing scandal but he got a clean chit in 2012 by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Azharuddin was awarded the Arjuna Award in 1986 and the Padma Shri in 1988 for his contribution in the field of sports. He gave divorced from her first wife and married actress Sangeeta Bijlan. We have seen a Bollywood movie ‘Azhar’ based on his life which featured actor Imran Hasmi as Azharariddin. Currently, he is active as a Working President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee and resides in Hyderabad.
