Johnny Lever

Johnny Lever is the pioneer of stand-up comedy in India. His real name is John Prakasa Rao
Janumala and was born on 14 August 1957 at Kanigiri, Andhra Pradesh. He started his career
in 1984 and has worked on more than 350 Bollywood films till now. He got major success with
Baazigar movie as a supporting actor/comedian. His one of the most memorable live
performances was an impersonation of Michael Jackson at the 1999 Filmfare Awards. Johnny
has earned 13 Filmfare Awards nominations in Filmfare for Best Performance in a Comic Role
and won that award twice for his work in Deewana Mastana (1997) and Dulhe Raja (1998).
