Overview
Papon is an Indian playback singer from Assam who has also worked as a songwriter and Composer for Assamese films. He started a band called folk-fusion and The East India Company bands. Papon has sung for a number of Hindi films which include Sanju, Befikre, Sultan, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Kya Dilli Kya Lahore, Lakshmi, Madras Cafe, Barfi!, Dum Maro Dum etc. He released his first album, Junaki Raati in Assamese. He released a number of albums which include Sinaaki Osinaaki, Rangphul, Gomseng, Phagunor Gaan, Chandamukhi, Tokari songs etc.
